Buffy MoonbatWeekly Press Releases

So you think you’d like to be on the radio? Worried about broadcasting out to a million people? Have we got a station for you! It’s super local – just 5-10 miles in range. Start small and find your voice; we’re going to stay small, but you can move up to WERU or MPBN or maybe you’ll be the next Terry Gross.

Belfast Community Radio is gearing up for action and If the group of volunteers working now to raise funds to buy equipment is successful, we’ll be on the air come January.

We’ve got four committees meeting from now until December 1, so if you’d like to get involved in the station’s beginnings, come and join us:

  1. Fundraising Committee – meet Erik, a whiz at underwriting and leader of the pack
  2. Governance Committee – meet Zafra, who’s working on the structure of the station
  3. Programming Committee – meet Karen, dj with WERU who is leading the discussion about programs
  4. Technology Committee – meet the tech crew

All Volunteer meeting starts at 7 pm, 17 Court Street in Belfast (former church). Sign on to the committee of your dreams.
